Every year theWashington DC Cherry Blossom Festival draws thousands of guests eager to view the blossoms around the Tidal Basin. The display in DC is beautiful but the crowds can sometimes be overwhelming so, for a couple of years now I have been enjoying similar clusters of Cherry Blossom trees in Northern Virginia.
The 3 places I go to see the Cherry Blossoms in Northern Virginia are:
Meadowlark Gardens, Vienna – You can enjoy a number of Cherry Blossoms along the path by the entrance and next to the water in the middle of the park.
Lake Anne Plaza, Reston – There are beautiful weeping Cherry Trees by the Van Gogh Bridge which is picturesque next to the lake.
River Farm, Alexandria – Located on the Virginia side of the Potomac River, it is a great place to enjoy the Cherry Blossoms on the property and the River view.
I hope you have a chance to see the Cherry Blossoms while they are in bloom this week.
Happy Weekend and thanks for reading!
